"Most anyone who knows me will tell you I'm a man of few words...my photography is the same way. I don't photograph everything and anything I see, and I don't shoot every day like the best photographers do to perfect their craft. Like Vernon, the product of my work has moved me to create it. To sit with Vernon is to feel elevated and inspired. Having the opportunity to photograph him was actually a gift for me."

 

Mike Walton has lived in Palm Springs since 2001.
